Poll seeking to measure current view of service

Thank you to those councils who have already responded to our poll seeking to measure current views of the service.

An update on the results so far is available on our website - Information page - Suffolk Highways | SALC Website (suffolk-alc.gov.uk)

We have had a couple of councils ask about the origins of the survey and the fact that the answers are obvious – stating it seems very biased.  The route of the poll was as a result of a request from a larger council seeking opinion across Suffolk in view of their own experience.  As a result of our work with Suffolk Highways seeking to improve communication we shared the poll idea with them and the questions so that this could at least give us a temperature check across the county.    The questions have been slightly re-shaped by Suffolk Highways before the poll was released.

Going forward, we have forums set up as promised with Suffolk Highways, focussing on seasonal issues to help inform town and parish councils on the programme of works, for example, and a focus group to help look at the results of the poll and ways we can work together.  As our members know we know communication is not realistically the only issue, funding and resources are limited, but according to our annual survey, our members are also keen for us to be involved in trying to assist.
