In early December we ran a webinar for members following the introduction of new statutory obligations for the prevention of sexual harassment for employees. The requirements include the need to update policies and procedures*, consult with staff, conduct essential training for employees and councillors and take reasonable steps to protect the council from claims of harassment.
We have added a copy of a 30 min recording to The Model Council under "managing people" section along with a copy of the slides.
*NALC will be providing an updated policy through Worknest which we will share and publish on our templates in the SALC member portal.
